Our Story

"While We Try To Teach Our Children All About Life,

Our Children Teach Us What Life Is All About"

We are a family run business, established in 2012.
The Rainbow Corner is committed to the Rights of the Child and partners with parents, children, staff and the communities we serve to make a difference in the lives of children in New Zealand.

The Rainbow Corner is the first New Zealand Pre-School to get the ‘FernMark’ approval.

Through collaboration, and in keeping with the Rainbow Corner values, we build partnerships with families and the community to create opportunities in which children are listened to, respected, mentored and challenged, so that they can be local, national and global citizens.

The philosophy of our Early Learning Centres recognise the importance of the Rights of the Child and allow us to focus on the holistic development of the child, through reflective practices.

The vision for our early childhood education programmes is to work in partnership with families and the community.

Our philosophy and practices are informed by philosophers and pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori and the International Baccalaureate that, as well as Te Whariki - the New Zealand curriculum framework for Under 5 years, as well as our own experience, observations and interactions.

We pride ourselves on understanding the rights and needs of our community and providing high quality education and care to children and their families.
